After a weekend out with friends and a truly “Sinful Saturday” of eating more or less whatever sounded good, I was surprised to step on the scale today and find myself down 7.4 pounds this week (This brings me to a total of 22.4 pounds lost.). Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining at all. I’m just surprised.
Some factors I think played into my weight loss this week, despite my Saturday:
- I was very aware of what I ate this week. I made good choices and chose to make fresh meals with less sodium and salt over easy microwave meals or going out to eat.
- Even though I didn’t count calories Saturday, I tried to choose heartier, more filling foods with more fresh ingredients.
- I walked A LOT on Saturday. We went to IKEA and wandered and shopped for easily 3 hours. John and I got a great new office system out of the trip. =)
